CANVAS is a free creative group for young people aged 13-18 who live in Wellingborough. We offer young people creative opportunities to lead cultural events and arts activities in their local area, themed and programmed by the CANVAS group.
We would love you to join us in planning and co-producing Well Creative Festival with us, a combined arts festival in Wellingborough town centre on 21st March 2026.
There will be an introductory session in December, and regular sessions will run from January to March 2026 in Wellingborough town centre with group co-ordinator Kitty Benford. We conclude sessions with pizza!
Dates for this project are:
- Introduction session – Monday 15th December 2025 4.30pm-6.30pm
- Session 1 – Tuesday 13th January 2026 4.30pm-6.30pm
- Session 2 – Tuesday 27th January 2026 4.30pm-6.30pm
- Session 3 – Tuesday 10th February 2026 4.30pm-6.30pm
- Session 4 – Tuesday 3rd March 2026 4.30pm-6.30pm
- Session 5 – Tuesday 10th March 2026 4.30pm-6.30pm
- Session 6 – Tuesday 17th March 2026 4.30pm-6.30pm

What happened at Well Creative 2024?
In 2024, CANVAS co-produced Well Creative Festival with Made With Many, playing a vital role in developing the event’s brand identity and marketing strategies as well as selecting the artists and acts that appeared at the festival. Throughout the process, CANVAS members learned how to promote an event, work within a budget as well as supporting the collection of feedback from festival participants. On the day of the festival, they volunteered their time to help deliver the festival they helped bring to life.
