Read to the Beat with Storyteller Mike Payton!
Join artist Mike Payton for Read to the Beat, a fun and interactive storytelling workshop that will be a mix of of performance and creation of a story and musical beats! Participants will work with Mike to create a story together, with the opportunity for children to create their own percussion and sound FX and tell the stories themselves.
This is a FREE session for residents of our funded Corby area – including Corby town, Cottingham, East Carlton, Great Oakley, Gretton, Little Stanion, Middleton, Oakley Vale, Priors Hall Park, Rockingham, Stanion and Weldon.
- 10am or 2pm: Up to 1 hour session recommended for children age 3 – 7 years and their grown-ups
- 11.30am or 3.30pm: Up to 1 hour session recommended for children age 8+ and their grown-ups
- All children must be accompanied by an adult – babes in arms also welcome.

This session is being delivered in partnership with Corby Library as part of the Summer Reading Challenge and has been funded by Arts Council England, thanks to National Lottery Players.
Access
Parking is available nearby at Parkland Gateway or Victoria Place. Accessible parking is available at both car parks for Blue Badge holders, however normal charges apply.
Buses stop on George Street outside the Corby Cube – you can plan your journey at the Stagecoach or Traveline website.
Disabled and buggy access to Corby Library is available via level access, a lift and ramps.
Accessible toilets and baby changing and a Changing Places facility are available in Corby Library.
