About the artist
Phiona Richards is a socially engaged artist with 25+ years’ experience delivering creative projects that support well-being, connection, and self-expression. Working with accessible materials and heritage craft techniques – such as bookbinding, embroidery, printmaking, paper folding, and collage she creates spaces where people feel encouraged to explore creativity in a way that feels meaningful to them. Each project is shaped by the people who take part, guided by their energy, stories, and the shared experience of making together. Her practice is grounded in the belief that creativity is for everyone. It offers moments of calm, curiosity, and joy – whether through a folded book, a hand-stitched design, or a carefully layered collage.
