What can I expect from this activity?
Dance, Chai and Chat is a free welcoming dance session that is perfect for beginners or those looking to rejoin a dance or movement class. No dance is experience needed and sessions are designed to be accessible and adaptable.
In each of the 6 sessions you can enjoy a 45 minute beginners Bollywood Dance session with Nupur Arts followed by 45 minute Chai and Chat session including free refreshments and an opportunity to chat other participants and a visitor from a health or wellbeing partner.
Please wear comfortable clothing that can be moved in and bring a refillable water bottle for refreshment during the practical dance workshop. These sessions are for adults only.
Who is this session for?
Dance, Chai and Chat is free for those who live in our funded Wellingborough area. This area includes Bozeat, Earls Barton, Ecton, Finedon, Great Doddington, Grendon, Hardwick, Isham, Irchester, Isham, Little Harrowden, Orlingbury, Sywell, Wellingborough, Wilby & Wollaston.
When are the sessions?
Dance, Chai and Chat sessions will take place weekly from 8th June until 13th July – we are asking participants to sign up for all 6 sessions, either in the morning or afternoon.
- The morning dance session runs from 10:30am to 11:15am with chai and chat afterwards until 12pm
- The afternoon dance session runs 12:30pm to 1:15pm with chai and chat afterwards until 2pm
Access at the Victoria Centre
- Find the Victoria Centre at 46-50 Palk Road, Wellingborough NN8 1HR
- Please be aware there are 3 small steps down to get into the space the sessions will take place in.
- Wheelchair Accessible – mobility scooters can approach building with parking to the rear however, mobility scooters cannot enter the building due to width of halls.
- Accessible toilet available
- Victoria Centre has a private carpark to the rear of the building with 10 spaces and there is usually ample street parking also available.
