International Dance Workshops
March 19, 2025 | NewsWe’re looking for local people to get involved in an International Dance project with Folk Dance Remixed, Mr Shay and community group Corby CAN, where all the family can get involved!
This exciting project will see our local communities and Artists co-create a brand new dance, combining traditional Romanian and Moldovan styles of folk dance with Hip Hop. We encourage people with knowledge or experience of traditional Romanian and Moldovan dance to get involved, however no experience is needed and all experience levels are welcome.
Key dates for rehearsals that will be happening in Corby are below – please note that all children attending will need to be accompanied by an adult:
- Sunday 27th April from 12pm -4pm at Arran Community Centre
- Saturday 17th May from 11am – 4pm at Priors Hall Community Centre
- Saturday 24th May from 11am – 4pm at Priors Hall Community Centre
Following rehearsals, the performance will take place on Sunday 1st June during the International Children’s Day event at Coronation Park (performance time to be confirmed).
