Inspiring Black Creativity – Heritage Arts Trails
February 19, 2025 | NewsMade With Many is a community-led arts programme which produces events and activities designed to surprise, delight and inspire. The programme aims to encourage more people than ever before to take the lead in experiencing, creating and taking part in high-quality arts and cultural activities. Through conversations with local people and community decision-making panels, Made With Many puts the community at the heart of commissioning artists and producing new and exciting events.
Artist callout
We are looking for an artist or group of artists to create original artworks in any form that accurately reflects an important aspect of the contribution of the black community to the rich and vibrant history of Wellingborough. The artworks will be incorporated into a Black Heritage Trail (most likely in Wellingborough town centre) that will tell the story of Wellingborough’s black community.
Co-creation is key to Made With Many’s approach so all creative proposals must ensure the community is involved in the conceptualisation, process and/or final creation of the artwork.
