Connecting Corby is a project that started in January which aims to bring people together on the estates of Exeter, Lloyds, Kingswood and Hazel Leys, creating new friendships across the generations and empowering local residents to plan activities for their community.
Since the original launch in March this year, we have had 600 people come to the launch events in each community centre, with 200 volunteers developing and maintaining community gardens in each area since. Phase two of this two-year project is about to begin and we need local people to decide what this stage of the project will look like.
Join us for some tea, cake and a chat to have your say in what will be happening on your estate. You can drop in at any of the times and dates below and we’ll talk you through some of the options.
- Exeter: Autumn Centre – 9th September @ 10:00am – 11:30am
- Lloyds: Stephenson Way Community Centre – 9th September @ 12:00pm-1:30pm
- Hazel Leys: Hazelwood Neighbourhood Centre – 10th September @ 12:30pm – 1:30pm
