Visit Grow Festival at Northamptonshire’s Year of Arts & Culture 2020 preview

A Celebration of Arts & Culture in Northamptonshire in 2020

What’s happening in your county in 2020. Come along & find out more!

The team behind the county’s tourism campaign Northamptonshire; Britain’s Best Surprise is holding an ‘open house’ preview of the 2020 Arts & Culture initiative on October 24th at Royal & Derngate from 4.30pm to 7pm.

Over 30 partners* are supporting this exciting year-long celebration of Arts & Culture that involves everyone in the county, raising awareness of the performances, festivals, art and events that enrich visitors’ experiences and help attract new audiences.

Hosted by Royal & Derngate in Northampton, this preview provides an opportunity to meet supporting partners from arts organisations countywide and learn about planned performances, festivals and events for the coming year.

Jo Gordon, Chief Executive of Royal & Derngate commented:

“Thursday’s event is a great opportunity for us to throw open our doors so that the county can start to show off all the brilliant arts and culture taking place next year. We hope that people will stop by during the afternoon to meet some of the partners, from local artists, amateur theatre groups, to galleries, festivals and theatres, all of whom will have display stands promoting their upcoming activities.”

The 2020 Year of Arts & Culture will be formally launched next February at Grow Festival in Corby. Helen Wilmott, Made in Corby Programme Director commented:

“We’re really excited to be launching the 2020 Arts & Culture initiative at Grow Festival and welcoming people to Corby to enjoy some spectacular art.”
