Help write a song for Corby Pole Fair!
Join folk duo Mayor and James in creating and performing an original folk song for Corby Pole Fair!
We’re looking for local musicians and music lovers to come together and lend your ideas to a new song for Corby Pole Fair and then to learn, rehearse and perform it on the day of the fair.
You do not need any experience in song-writing though you will need to supply any instruments you want to play as part of the performance (singers, triangle players and backing dancers are also very welcome).
Venue: Corby Old Village Community Centre, High Street, NN17 1WX
27th March from 12pm – 4pm: Ideas gathering and song writing
29th May from 12pm – 4pm: Song Finishing and Rehearsal
2nd June from 12pm – 4pm 2nd June: Rehearsal
3rd June (times to be confirmed): Performance as part of Hilary and Simon’s set
Booking a place on these sessions includes attending both rehearsal days and being ready to perform as part of Corby Pole Fair.
