Moving On…
Blog by Myrle Roach
In August 2020 I accidentally discovered Made With Many and that they were advertising a vacant post for Community Engagement Coordinator in Wellingborough. With 12 hours to the deadline I took a leap of faith and applied. Following the most delightful interview online I was offered the post and started in September 2020.
Now in September 2026 I am moving on from an amazing 6-year journey to the uncertain future of retirement!
Retirement
Yes, I have decided to retire, having now attained the official age of retirement and with health challenges demanding more of my attention.
The past 6 years have been enriching, enlightening, engaging and empowering. I have been enriched by the team I have had the privilege to work with and by the community I have served; enlightened by everything I have learned from the team and the community; completely engaged in my role and my commitment to the organisation and the community; and empowered to believe in self and my creativity as I look towards this new chapter.
A New Chapter
It is with gratitude and some hesitancy that I now prepare to open the door to a new chapter.
Gratitude to the Made With Many team, the many collaborators, and the community. Thank you seems inadequate to express my sincere appreciation for everything we have shared, achieved and built, but it is truly heartfelt. As I walk through this new door I am taking with me wonderful memories and treasured relationships.
I leave knowing that the legacy Made With Many has been building will continue and I cannot wait to see how this flourishes. For me, life after Made With Many will take me on my personal creative path with my poetry and storytelling, and I hope that I will meet many of you again on this journey.
Not “Farewell” but “So Long”
