About Made With Many

Made With Many is a community-led arts programme which produces events and activities, co-creating community powered art. Through conversations with local people and community decision-making panels, Made With Many puts the community at the heart of commissioning artists and producing new and exciting events.

Made With Many is funded by Arts Council England through the Creative People and Places (CPP) programme. As a CPP, our mission is to grow leadership in the community. Made With Many’s programme aims to encourage more people than ever before to take the lead in experiencing, creating and taking part in high-quality arts and cultural activities. We co-create arts events and activities by working with local communities, artists, arts and voluntary organisations, businesses and the public in Corby and Wellingborough to ensure that the arts are at the heart of positive change.

To find out more by exploring our website.

We are excited once again to deliver our co-produced Well Creative Festival 2027 in Wellingborough. The programme of events will run between the 15th and 20th March 2027, at both indoor and outdoor venues in and around Wellingborough town centre.

We are seeking applications to build a programme of performances, workshops and activities throughout the week leading to the festival, in addition to performances, walkabouts, workshops and activities for the day of the festival.

We are looking for proposals from creatives in any art form to programme into the festival programme which could include:

  • ‘Make and take’ craft and art workshops
  • Walkabout performances
  • Sensory and/or light installations (could be facilitated by an artist on the day or set up by an artist and left for families to explore)
  • Small scale performances suitable for non-theatre or outdoor spaces (please note, the spaces are of varying sizes and limited in capacity so please consider speaking with MWM before submitting your application for a performance piece)
  • Digital or film content
  • Workshops or participatory activities such as creative music and movement

We expect artists to work with communities in line with our approach to co-creation and you can find out much more about this at: bit.ly/MWMapproach

  • Experience in working with communities, particularly a families audience, to deliver creative activities
  • Experience of co-producing work with the community
  • You will need to provide any equipment, props or tech required for your activity. We are not able to provide any tech support including lighting, sound or staging so please consider this in your application and budget accordingly. We can not guarantee outdoor access to power in some locations.
  • Hold a DBS (dated within the past 2 years)
  • Have valid public liability insurance of at least £5 million.
  • Provide a risk assessment and appropriate access and safeguarding measures for your activity/performance

Please send us a clear breakdown of your fees including artist costs, materials, tech costs, travel etc. If you have any questions about this, please contact lily@madewithmany.org

Shortlisted applications will be shared with a community panel, who will select the successful applications in order to programme the festival in line with MWM co-production approach.

A contract will be issued by Groundwork Northamptonshire, the accountable body for Made with Many. The commission will be made to an organisation or as a freelance contract. The organisation/practitioner will be responsible for all tax liabilities and National Insurance or similar contributions.

To apply please send your application to info@madewithmany.org by 9am on Monday 12th October 2026. Applications will be presented to the community panel for their feedback, and we aim to contact successful applicants by early November 2026.

Your application must include the following information:

  • An outline of your relevant experience in delivering arts activity, preferably in community settings.
  • An explanation of your project/performance/activity with relevant detail that can be presented to the community panel
  • Proposal budget, including a breakdown of costs involved
  • You can present your application in the format that feels most appropriate. This might include either an artist CV, project proposal and budget (no more than 4 sides of A4 total) or a video to camera (of no more than 3 minutes in length), showreel or photos, or a combination to best convey your ideas.
  • Please do not send a touring pack without additional information related to the festival requirements. We will not process applications which only contain tour packs.

If you would like to discuss an alternative format or would like to have an informal conversation about your application please contact Lily Viney (lily@madewithmany.org or call 07923221759)

Every community panel is different and it’s not always possible for us to pre-empt what will be successful, but these are some common themes that we think lead to the best applications.

  • Be concise.
  • Use clear language when explaining elements of the project – the most common feedback we get from panels is that they couldn’t imagine what the project/activity would look like.
  • Include information about what participants will learn, make and feel.
  • Keep in mind who the target audience is for your idea as, where possible, this audience will be represented in our panels.
  • Use the format that allows you to best communicate your ideas, this might mean using images, videos or illustrations but feel free to get creative.
  • Consider why your work will be successful in engaging your target audience
  • Emphasise local knowledge or research if it feels appropriate.

Made With Many is committed to equal opportunities. We are working to achieve diversity and welcome applications from all sections of the community. We especially encourage applications from under-represented and/or historically marginalised communities.

In support of this, we have an access budget available to disabled artists delivering aspects of our programme. If you require additional support or resources to deliver this commission, please outline these in your application. Any such requests will not affect the outcome of our decisions.

If you require additional support in making an application, or would like this information in an alternative format, please contact Lily Viney (lily@madewithmany.org or call 07923221759).
