Tiny Fun Palaces were a blast!

In early October 2020, Made With Many distributed 400 free art packs in Corby and Wellingborough, with everything needed to start a Tiny Fun Palace at home on Saturday 3rd October.
Creativity packs were shared through organisations who work with local families in the week running up to the online event to encourage children and their families to explore creativity, art and science by making a Tiny Fun Palace at home. We also had packs available that and Corby or Wellingborough resident could book online, both for pick up in town centres and for delivery to those who were shielding or self-isolating.

We worked with Corby and Wellingborough Libraries and two artists to create the packs, which were bursting with arts supplies and ideas for how to use them. Alongside these activities there were lots more ideas from Fun Palaces and RS Components to help families experiment and create for hours.
On the day participants could join in via our Tiny Fun Palaces Facebook event, where we had creative inspiration on how to make an automota from Anais Bansal and a live video from Lindsey Warnes Carroll, including space-themed crafts and storytelling. There were also accompanying videos, both pre-recorded and a live to help participants with making and opportunities to show off their own inventions – this content can be viewed below, and eventven further down you’ll find a photo album of the fantastic makes that were created!
Many thanks to all project partners who helped dvelop and contributed ot the pack, as well as the following organisations who helped who helped with the distribution to families:
