Repair Clinic drop-in at the KHL Community Workshop
Join us for a FREE evening of getting your favourite clothes back to their best. We'll have three fantastic crafters to teach a few basic repair stitches that will have you fixing up your stuff & putting buttons back on. You could even make yourself a little pin cushion for your next textile adventures. You can also bring your items in need of repair for advice!
Here is a list of things we can teach you to do:
- Replace a button
- Patch a hole in trousers or jeans
- Make adjustment to the length of clothes
- Darn a hole in your favourite woollies
- Change the zip on your trousers (though we lack the equipment to do this for jeans currently)
Get in Contact: We can do basic repairs on the spot like sewing on a button or doing some visible darning (with the materials we already have on hand). If you would like us to try and colour match your garment or teach you a trickier repair (zips, large holes, etc) email tom@madewithmany.org a week in advance with any pictures you have and we'll make sure we're prepared.
