Kids Business (Feb – Mar)

Kids Business is a brand-new touring public art work built with local children via a series of creative workshops with the brilliant Hunt & Darton, one of the UK’s leading arts organisations for socially engaged projects.

Hunt & Darton want to harness the flamboyant imaginations of local children to develop the next generation of entrepreneurs. Will it be a bakery, bank, cafe or unicorn specialist, the kids will dream big and decide!

For children 5 – 14 years old. FREE to attend.

Each workshop last 2.5hrs with different sessions for 5-8 years and 8-14 years. H&D and their friends will develop the business idea with the children that attend.

  • 10am – 12.3pm (age 5-8)
  • 1.30pm – 4pm (age 8-14)

The Real business

The workshops culminates in the making of a real business which will open its doors to the public on:

• Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th March from 10.30am – 4pm (closed for lunch 12.30pm – 1.30pm)
• and Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th March 2023 from 10.30am – 4pm (closed for lunch 12.30pm – 1.30pm)

More info:

• You can drop your kids off or stay if you prefer. Parents are requested to stay in the vicinity during the workshops and are responsible for sharing with us anything we may need to know about your child that may affect their behaviour during the workshop.
• Please provide kids with a drink and snack for each workshop.
• Children are invited to attend all the workshops or as many as possible! As well as run the real business!
• 8 year olds can choose to attend the younger group or older group depending on their preference.
