International Women's Day Film Screening
A day to recognise and celebrate the leadership, strength and courage of women and girls
FILM SCREENING
A screening of What Happened, Miss Simone? with discussion after the film led by Christine Collymore.
This film helps us to understand Simone's story, her strength and passion. It shows her determination to be part of the movement of black freedom which saw her career go downhill. Nonetheless, her legacy lives on.
Cheese and wine will be served.
Time: 11am - 2pm
Day: Saturday 5th March
Venue: Wellingborough African Caribbean Association (WACA), 27-29 Rock Street, Wellingborough NN8 4LW [link to map]
Who is it for: Everyone is welcome - however please note that this film has an age 15 classification.
Cost: FREE entry and refreshments
Parking: Free in Jackson’s Lane car park nearby.
