Woodworking: Introduction to Hand Tools


This day-long course led by Emma Denby is an introduction for those who would like to start working with wood but have little or no experience. Emma will take us through our first woodwork project which could include creating a planter, toolbox or bird box. This process will focus on the basic techniques you need to get started including cutting, joining and treating wood.

Venue: KHL Community Workshop, Gainsborough Rd, Corby NN18 0QF (there is limited parking accessible from School Place).

Times: 10am - 5pm

Dates: Saturday 21st,  Saturday 28th January or Sunday 12th March (sign up for one session as this is the same course repeated 3 times)

Who is it for: This session is open to anyone over the age of 16 and no previous experience of woodworking is necessary.

Cost: These sessions are free to residents of Kingswood & Hazel Leys you because of generous funding from Creative Kingswood & Hazel Leys through the Creative Civic Change programme. These sessions are offered to everyone on a Pay What You Decide basis, with facility to take cash donations on the day. We recommend a donation of £15.

The cost of each session to the organisers is £35 per place. If for any reason you are no longer to able to attend please contact Tom Briggs on tom@madewithmany.org so that we can offer your place to somebody else.
