Carnival costume making workshops (for over 50s)

The parties started early this year and we’re already planning to make Wellingborough carnival 2023 the best ever!

Wellingborough African Caribbean Association invites you to come and join in the fun in designing and learning how to make costumes for next year’s carnival celebrations with professional costume maker Abi Jackson. So you’ll pick up lots of tricks of the trade for some extra costume drama.

Whether you can already sew or are a complete novice we can skill you up. There’ll be lots of jobs for everyone and a chance to make new friends and have fun!

When: Wednesdays October 12th – November 16th and December 14th and 21st 2022

Time: 10.30am – 11.30am with time for refreshments after

Where: WACA Community Complex, 27-29 Rock Street, Wellingborough, NN8 4LW  [link to map]

Cost: Free

Age: for local people aged 50+
