Date announced for new festival in Corby
Made in Corby and The Core at Corby Cube are producing the first of three major new festivals for Corby, filling the town centre with a wide range of arts activities, from free street theatre to brand new arts experiences created for Corby. The first festival, based around the theme of water, will take place over the weekend of the 21st and 22nd July 2018.
Helen Willmott, Programme Director for Made in Corby, commented “We’re thrilled to be working with The Core at Corby Cube on these new festivals. Together, we’ll be working with local people to create festivals that are exciting, ambitious and reflect Corby.”
Nick Walker, Director of The Core at Corby Cube commented that “Corby is one of the fastest growing towns in the country – new houses are springing up, businesses and shops are opening, and more and more people are choosing Corby as the place they want live, work and play. The Core and Made in Corby got excited by the idea of Grow, and inspired about the elements that are necessary for happy and healthy growth – Water, Food, and Light. This is where The Grow Festival has come from – three outdoor festivals over three years which will celebrate the newly flourishing Corby and all those who live here.”
