Craft and Chat online
A group of like-minded crafters have been meeting on the Made With Many Zoom on Monday evenings to chat and knit or sew, hosted by Stevie Way Arts Group leader Ann-Marie Leonard.
The group have been involved in various lockdown art projects over the past year and group members enjoy the opportunity to carry on seeing people, sharing news and their latest artworks, even though they can’t yet meet together in person.
Recently Northamptonshire Community Foundation appealed for wrist warmers for the elderly and Kate Dyer from Corby Community Arts offered to collect and post off any that could be made along with ones made by their Patchwork Pals group, who have also been busy with remote projects during the pandemic. In the last week over 30 pairs have been made and collected for distribution.
Group leader Ann-Marie commented:
“If anyone would like to join in, they are very welcome, you don’t need to commit to every session – just pop in as you wish. You don’t even have to knit if you just want some company.”
Sessions are Monday evenings 6.30 – 8pm. Contact Ann-Marie Leonard on ann@madewithmany.org for the Zoom link.
