On Saturday 10th December we worked with Corby CAN to deliver a day of festive crafts in Corby Library as well as traditional dancing and choir performances outdoors in James Ashworth VC Square. It was a sunny and frosty day, but we had free hot drinks on hand to warm people up!
Big About Singing choir sung some fantastic Christmas songs alongside performances from local singer Tatiana Captaciuc, Vanessa’s Gymnastic Academy, traditional folk dances and the Corby CAN Choir.
Hear Daniela Laslau from Corby CAN speaking on BBC Radio Northampton Treasure Quest (listen from 45.10) about this event.
Audience feedback
“It’s so nice to come to a local and free event like this.”
“It was a fun event, I really enjoyed painting. It was a good activity to enjoy with family.”
“I liked seeing my child have fun, making new friends and learning new things.”
“I liked the sense of community, bringing people together in events like this. Exploring different cultures such as the free spoon painting activities, which I have found out today is a Romanian tradition. The highlight of my day was seeing the kids enjoying themselves.”
