Eastfield Park Mural

Age 13 – 18? There’s still time to find out more and sign up for our youth projects!

Project updates – most recent first

Our first Youth, Arts & Skills sessions for the Eastfield Park Mural Project happened on Wednesday 12th & 19th October at St Mark’s Church with artist Tony Nero. In these preliminary sessions he had us getting messy with charcoal and pastels!

We then invited young people to join us during October half term to give the underpass a creative makeover, armed with spraypaint, stencils and all the skills we’d all learned at Tony’s sessions.

As you can see from the updates below, the young people did themselves proud under Tony’s expert guidance and have made a significant transformation of this previously unloved underpass. Since being completed the new underpass mural has also had a coat of anti-graffiti varnish in order to make it easier to maintain.

We’ll be continuing our creative sessions after October half term, so if you’re age 13 – 18, you’re welcome to join us then for some music sessions from 9th November.
