Updated for #VolunteersWeek on 27th May
Volunteers Week 2022
As Pole Fair coincides not only with the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday, but also with Volunteers’ Week 2022, we’ve had a special commemorative coin made to recognise the hard work of our wonderful Pole Fair volunteers, who have so generously given their time to make this year’s fair the best yet! The coin is etched with a Corby Pole Fair 2022 design on one side and an embossed Platinum Jubilee design on the reverse and will be presented to all Corby Pole Fair 2022 volunteers.
Volunteer at Corby Pole Fair
Are you willing to give up some of your time to make Corby Pole Fair a success? We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers on Friday 3rd June!
General Volunteer Roles
There are opportunities for volunteers to help for a 3-hour shift in many different roles, including meeting and assisting performers, helping the production team with setting up performances, and stewarding performance areas. Volunteers are also needed at information points, to provide directions, hand out festival programmes and provide general assistance to members of the public.
Volunteer sedan chair carriers
We’re looking for 12 strong volunteers to carry the sedan chairs for our three guests of honour on Friday 3rd June. The charter readings begin at 6am outside St John’s Church, and after the charter is read there will be a slow walk of 640 metres from St John’s Church to the White Hart. Volunteers will have a rest whilst the Charter is being read at the White Hart. Then there are a further 160 metres from the White Hart to the Cardigan Arms where the final charter reading will be broadcast live on Corby Radio.
You will need to be on-site from 5.30am for ‘chairing’ and a free breakfast will be available at 7am on Charter Field. If you would like to volunteer, please email email@example.com with your name and phone number.
