CKHL Creative Bursaries

The CKHL programme are offering residents of the Kingswood and Hazel Leys estates the opportunity to access between £50 and £500 to explore their own creativity.

The CKHL Creative Bursaries are for individuals and can be used for a wide range of activities. Maybe you need new equipment, buy a musical instrument, attend lessons, have private tuition or go on a trip to a theatre, art gallery or museum. A bursary is a grant that you do not have to repay.

You can apply for between £50 and £500 to cover any of the following expenses:

  • Arrange to share your creativity with others, for example through a performance or exhibition
  • Buying books and equipment
  • Paying to attend lessons, have private tuition or attend a college course
  • Entrance tickets
  • Standard rail/bus fare travel or mileage at £0.45 a mile and parking expenses
  • Cost of purchasing food whilst you travel
  • Expenses for a responsible adult to accompany any under 18 on trips or an essential carer to accompany a disabled person

We are interested in hearing about the impact this bursary will have on your creativity, and would like a short email/letter/card/conversation afterwards to let us know how you got on.

Bursaries will be paid in advance and you will be required to return receipts by the end of October 2022. If required the CKHL group can make purchases directly on your behalf.

For those under the age of 18 years old, the bursary will be paid to a nominated parent/guardian, who must submit the application on behalf of the young person.
