Freelance Artist/Theatre Maker Role (now closed)
Warts and All Theatre are working with Made With Many to plan an Arts Festival in July 2021 for the community of Wellingborough. The festival is planned, programmed and delivered by Warts and All Theatre’s Young Producers. The aim of this commission is to provide a unique theatrical experience/activity for the community of Wellingborough, which arrives within a community on a bus!
The festival will begin on the week of the 12th July, culminating with an event in the centre of Wellingborough on the 25th July.
The Young Producers are looking to commission an artist/theatre maker who can develop, create and realise a theatrical experience/activity that will tour 4 communities during the festival on the bus.
The Young Producers are the driving force behind the festival, and are the decision makers for all elements of the festival. They will shortlist and interview applicants for this commission. The activity which is commissioned as part of this call out will be co-created with the Young Producers and produced by Warts and All Theatre.

Submit either a short video proposal of no more than 5 minutes or a written proposal explaining your idea (3 A4 pages max) for a potential piece/activity that could tour on a bus (in line with the commission brief) and any relevant co-creation and realisation plans.

Include a simple budget breakdown of how you would allocate the £6000 to the realisation of the activity/commission.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Tuesday 2nd February. Any applications submitted after this date will not be considered.
Interviews will be conducted via Zoom with a panel of Young Producers alongside Warts and All and Made with Many staff on Wednesday 17th February.
We may require a second interview which will be w/c 22nd February.
