Cultivate online workshops for artists and arts groups
We are starting the new year with an exciting programme of free online Cultivate workshops designed specifically with our local artists and arts groups in mind. If you are interested in gaining some extra support in your creative practice around marketing, funding, working with schools, community co-creating and project evaluation – these workshops are for you!
These free online sessions are aimed at artists or groups who want to develop creative or cultural projects in Corby or Wellingborough. Please book to receive the Zoom joining information and if you have never used Zoom before please see our instructions here.
Cultivate: Artists Working with Schools
Join Royal & Derngate’s Creative Learning Director, Trudy A Bell, as she explores how artists can build meaningful partnerships with schools and create quality work aimed at young people that benefits teaching, learning and artistic practice.
Trudy is Creative Learning Director at Royal & Derngate, Northampton and a professional Theatre Director, Arts Practitioner and former teacher with over 25 years experience of working across both education and theatre sectors. She is also Open Drama UK Regional Drama Champion for Northants, an Arts Award Advisor, RSA Fellow and oversees Royal & Derngate’s role as lead partner for Northants Cultural Education Partnership. Trudy is particularly interested in how real-world arts practice can unlock potential for creative learning and artistic development in young people.

Cultivate: Marketing – Raising Your Profile
Join Made With Many’s Marketing Manager, Marian Anderson, to explore how you can raise the profile of your creative community projects. The session will look at how to reach audiences in Corby and Wellingborough through online and offline engagement, partners and the media. Follow up one-to-ones will be available for those with an eligible project who attend this session.

Cultivate: Arts Council Funding Advice for Artists and Groups
Join Hugh James from Arts Council England who will provide an overview of Arts Council support for individual artists and practitioners, community and cultural organisations, museums and libraries. It will provide information on funding programmes including National Lottery Project Grants and Developing Your Creative Practice, and how to apply. It will also cover how the Arts Council is responding to the needs of smaller independent organisations and individual practitioners during COVID-19.

Cultivate: Evaluating Arts Projects
Join Made With Many’s Wellingborough Producer, Sarah Brown and Corby Community Engagement Coordinator, Tom Briggs as they explore and offer some insightful tips on how to effectively evaluate your arts projects.
The session will look at how you gather and use quantitative and qualitative data with key considerations to what funders really want to know. Also understanding the importance of evaluation to support the future potential and legacy of your arts projects.
