Rangoli design competition winners
Earlier this month, we teamed up with the Asha Deep project, Support Northamptonshire and Wellingborough District Hindu Association to deliver 300 activity packs around the Victoria and Isebrook wards in Wellingborough to help the community join in with Diwali celebrations. The creativity packs included activities that all members of the family could join in with, including making decorative diya lights and a Rangoli pattern design competition, both traditional Diwali crafts to decorate homes and bring good luck.
Project Producer Sarah Brown commented,
“This year more than ever, traditional celebrations such as Diwali, Christmas and Hanukah will be important to brighten up our lives through the pandemic, and as winter approaches. Many thanks to all of the participants for sending us their beautiful designs and brightening up our day!”
A community panel selected the winning designs from an array of dazzling artworks with prizes of shopping vouchers awarded to the most imaginative patterns, and certificates of appreciation sent to all entrants.
The Rangoli pattern templates are still available on our website if you would like to make your own design to brighten up your home, or put in your window to bring some colour to your neighbourhood.
Congratulations to all of the winners of the competition! We received lots of brilliantly creative entries and can now announce the winners below. If you have won a prize, someone from the Made With Many staff team will be in contact soon to notify you of your prize and arrange for it to be delivered to you.
