JOB: Wellingborough Community Engagement Co-ordinator (closed)

Join the team!

Made With Many are the Creative People & Places (CPP) programme for the boroughs of Corby and Wellingborough in Northamptonshire. CPP is about more people taking the lead in choosing, creating and taking part in art experiences in the places where they live. There are now 30 independent projects, each located in an area where people have traditionally had fewer opportunities to get involved with the arts. See www.creativepeopleplaces.org.uk for further details.

We are passionate about community-leadership, co-creation and engaging new audiences in excellent cultural activities that are relevant to both individuals and the wider community. Our events and activities surprise, delight and inspire local people and provide a much-needed opportunity for communities to come together and enjoy themselves. Our programme includes a range of festivals, workshops, performances, exhibitions and ‘go and see’ trips, utilising the assets in our communities and drawing upon the hopes of local people.

We are at an exciting time in the development of our programme, as we both continue with our programme delivery in Corby and launch a new programme in Wellingborough. In the last year, we have secured investment of around £1.4million from Arts Council England to enable this until 2023. These new roles will be at the forefront of this development and be instrumental to the creation and implementation of an exciting new programme in Wellingborough. They will be supported by an experienced team, who have been delivering the CPP in programme for over 6 years, successfully engaging new audiences through facilitating community-leadership and co-creation alongside developing relationships with exciting artists across all art forms.
