THANK YOU to our Volunteers
It’s Volunteers Week this week, and across the country organisation are saying a massive thank you to the millions of people that give their time freely to help organisations like ours. Normally, we hold an event to say thank you (obviously based around cake!) and this year we had something particularly special planned…. but then a global pandemic happened.
In the week that we announced our new name, Made With Many, it seems particularly apt to say a massive THANK YOU to all of the amazing volunteers who help to make our events and activities happen.
Over the last 3 years, over 400 volunteers have been involved in our programme in Corby, giving over 2000 hours of their time. That’s pretty amazing. Volunteers have been instrumental in making decisions about our programme, choosing artists, venues and publicity for our activities. There was a small army of volunteer stewards for each of our Grow festivals, who gave out programmes, looked after visiting acts and helped audiences have the best festival experience. And then there’s our Arts Ambassadors, who work with us all year round and are vital to making sure that as many local people as possible find out about our work.
So whether you’re one of the 200 people involving in local decision-making through our community panels or you were one of the people who have given 100s of hours to support our events, the whole team would like to say thank you. Your time, energy and commitment has been simply outstanding and our programme wouldn’t be possible without you. And we promise there will be lots of cake as soon as we’re allowed to get together again!
