Tickets are now on sale for the highlight of Grow Festival 2019, an enormous Community Feast in Coronation Park that shares and celebrates the food and cultures of Corby on Sunday 28 July.
The feast is the culmination of months of community growing projects and three local chefs will cook up a delicious menu reflecting Corby’s diverse population and their cuisines. Hundreds of diners will be entertained by music, dance and theatre from acclaimed street artists and the People’s Stage will return to showcase local talent.
Commissioned by Made in Corby and co-produced by The Core at Corby Cube, Grow Festival 2019 takes place on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 July 2019. Continuing to look at the essential ingredients for growth, Grow 2019 is inspired by the theme of food, celebrating all things culinary. Corby’s town centre will once again be animated with free activities including hilarious street performers, magical family pop-up shows and spectacular art throughout the weekend.
Local people can get involved in the community feast by growing in their own garden at home, school, work or at your allotment and donating to The Big Harvest, which will take place on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 July, ready to be prepared for the Community Feast on Sunday 28 July. Please contact us if you would like to donate food.
Delicious food will be served at the Community Feast from 12pm on Sunday 28 July. Tickets for the feast are priced at £10*, with concessions at £8, can be booked by calling Ticket Office on 01536 470470 or online at www.thecorecorby.com. Those who are not attending to the feast are also welcome to bring a picnic to the park and enjoy the entertainment. Free tickets for the Community Feast will also be offered through various organisations who are working with families living in food poverty as well as a limited number being available for community garden volunteers and community growers.
